Reflection from AID representative (Afanasia) – Closing event perspective

Inicio > E+ KA2 StrongerTogether > Reflection from AID representative (Afanasia) – Closing event perspective

When I was told that I would participate in the closing event, my first reaction was a mix of curiosity and anticipation.

Even though this was not my first involvement in an Erasmus+ project, there was something different about this one. I was curious to understand what made this partnership special, what kind of connections had been built, and how such a geographically and culturally distant collaboration could translate into meaningful outcomes.

What I discovered is that this project goes beyond the usual professional exchange.

It creates a space where relationships are built on trust, openness, and shared experiences something that is increasingly rare in our fast-paced, results-driven work environments. Hearing about the experience in Tunceli and engaging with partners made me reflect on how important these human dimensions are in shaping effective cooperation.

From a personal perspective, this project has reinforced my belief that learning happens most deeply when it is experiential and relational. It reminded me that stepping outside of familiar environments is essential not only for professional growth but also for expanding one’s perspective.

From a professional perspective within AID, the project contributes to:

  • strengthening our international network of trusted partners,
  • enriching our approach to community engagement and adult education,
  • and inspiring us to pursue more inclusive and culturally grounded initiatives.

Most importantly, it confirmed that projects like this do not end with the final event they continue through the ideas, partnerships, and motivation they generate.
