Testimony – Youth Exchange “Changing Attitudes, Promoting Health (CHATPRO)”

From the restlessness of always being on the move to the pleasure of debating topics that speak to me a lot made me sign up for this youth exchange «Changing Attitudes, Promoting Health (CHATPRO)». Postponing plans for 10 days to go have a culture shock to Hondarribia, Spain made me more aware of who I am and all the small actions of everyday life. During the 14-hour bus journey that separates my city from the exchange location, I thought a lot about what would happen next, what I would live and experience, and I have to say that of everything I experienced, nothing had even crossed my mind. From the amount of culture from different parts of the world that we received every day, to friends from other countries being delighted that we said we were Portuguese.
The Abarka team was always ready to help at all times and with a high level of concern to ensure that all activities were carried out in the best possible way and that all participants were able to surpass themselves. Meals were always shared with joy among everyone and cultural evenings were a time of great learning about a little of each country. The small picturesque town could not have been better chosen, with its beautiful coastline and an immensity of mountains.
I will forever be grateful for this adventure to the entire team who prepared everything down to the last detail and to all the participants who I will never forget who made all this possible!
